Subdued luster underlies pale grey toning, darker at the rims. Evenly impressed, with surfaces free of distractions. Four die pairs were employed to strike half-dollars in 1803. Only the O.104 features a small 3, accounting for its relative scarcity. CAC agreed that this well struck, choice XF is a cut above those usually seen. Estimate: $3,500 to $4,000
