Pale gold blankets this fully lustrous 1808. A toning spot accents the outside of the eagle’s right wing. Liberty’s curls are minutely detailed – important on this date, known for erratic strikes. A splash of iridescent turquoise encases the cap, further enhancing the eye appeal. Tim has been the steward of this coin since 1990 when he purchased it from Dave Olmstead of Alpine Numismatics.
