Nearly full luster blankets the untoned surfaces. Early die state. Generally sharp devices. Very few contact marks. Stray hairlines suggest the coin was gently wiped and account for an otherwise conservative grade. A popular Red Book variety with consistently strong auction prices. From Heritage’s December 2021 sale of Frank Benick’s (“Founding Fathers”) Collection, lot 91109, @ $1,440.
