1823 Patched 3 - O.101a R.1 PCGS OGH AU 50 GOLD CAC

Antique grey, jam-packed with luster. Too much for a mere “50.” Thus the coveted gold CAC sticker. The surfaces are virtually free of contact marks. Slight wear on the high points, none in the fields – just the way my daddy told me an AU coin should be. A faint toning streak crosses the obverse, star 3 to star 8. A May 1991 private treaty acquisition.
