Blinding luster! This untoned beauty was Don Frederick’s set piece for many years. It brought $1,725 when Heritage offered his collection at the Central States show in April 2010. It appeared again in November 2023. Heritage relegated it to its Internet session. It still brought $2,160, a testament to its quality and the rarity of this die pair. Advanced collectors will relish the opportunity to acquire this important coin.
