A sharply struck 1835, with terrific luster and eye appeal. Lovely splashes of iridescent toning run through the margins. No marks deserve mention. This first rate 1835 earned its CAC sticker without a fuss. From Heritage’s Sept. 2012 Long Beach Sale, lot 4556 @ $1,762.50. I note that lot 4555 in that sale was an 1835 O.106, also graded NGC AU 58 CAC. It yielded only $705! Santa Claus did not attend the sale. There is a reason the coin here offered brought over twice as much. Est. $1,000 to $1,500.
