1809 -  O.106 R.2 PCGS AU 55

Handsomely toned, with shades of gold, turquoise and aqua dominating the obverse.  Top of left wing soft, as usual.  Otherwise nicely impressed.  A very shallow depression in the planchet runs from the lower ribbon to 09 of the date.  It blends with the toning and has virtually no impact on the coin’s strong eye-appeal.  Choice AU 1809s are always in demand.  

Estimate: $1,400 to $1,800
