Lot Number 64

Untoned, save for a ring of russet toning through the dentils.  The luster and near prooflike surfaces belie the conservative grade.  The high rims and crisp dentils suggest a very early die state.  In all, a particularly flashy 1831.  From Frank Benick’s Founding Fathers Collection, Heritage December 2021, lot 91488, as NGC MS 62.
