A blazing white coin with a trace of friction on Liberty’s chin and breast. Though a later die state, you will have no problem seeing the tiny beads that pass for dentils on the reverse. The reverse die was used to strike the legendary Crushed Lettered Edge proofs dated 1833, 1834 and 1835. (All were struck in 1836. We still wonder whether an 1836 CLE lurks in a forgotten repository.)
