From the collection of Jerome Zonca. The hallmark obverse die break abruptly stops at Liberty’s ear. The coin is essentially perfect for grade. Natural grey toning surrounds the devices, lighter on the reverse. This very scarce die pair is everyone’s favorite 1818. (Put down your hand if you prefer the overdates or the pincher 8s.) Estimate: $1,200 to $1,700
