Yet another late date for the connoisseur. There is no disputing traces of friction on the cheek. All else screams MS 63 or better. The strike, toning and vibrant luster leave nothing to be desired. An ancient fingerprint crosses UNITED. It blends with the toning, assuring us that no one has tried to “improve” this original coin. Nice! From Alpine Numismatics in February 1999.
