Semi-prooflike surfaces will startle and entice those who preview the coin. The familiar die lines below star 13 were removed when the dies were cleaned and polished. This coin was among the first struck when the dies were returned to service. Exquisite detail in Liberty’s curls and the eagle’s wings contributes to the eye-appeal. Estimate: $1,500 to $2,000.
