1825 - O.110 R.1 PCGS MS 62

A primordial crust of “grey dirt,” infused with subtle hues of gold and turquoise, bespeaks originality. The surfaces are magnificent; the sole mark is a tick on the dentils, just right of the date. Veteran observers will covet the look and eye-appeal. From Chris Merrill’s collection, offered by Heritage in February 2018, lot 4636, where it brought $1,560. Estimate: $1,300 to $1,600.
