1809 III Edge - O.109a R.2 PCGS AU 55

Thirteen stars with center points surround Ms. Liberty. The reverse is equally bold. Blazing luster graces the mark-free surfaces. PCGS was off its game when this coin reached the grading room. The III Edge is not noted on the label and the grade is 3 points short of its mark. Treat the coin as a solid AU 58 and you’ll be in the running. Estimate: $2,000 and up.
