Ex Dr. Ivan Leaman and Henry Hilgard. Soft luster in the fields, intensifying at the peripheries and around the central devices. The surfaces are magnificent. Hardly a blemish may be seen, even under magnification. Pale antique toning with occasional turquoise and gold highlights through the stars and legend. A first-rate example of this popular Red Book variety. The consignor found it in my bourse case during the April 2010 Central States show. My tag accompanies, noting the Leaman/Hilgard provenance. Estimate: $2,300 to $3,000.
