Luster glows beneath the lush, original toning, gathered from the kraft envelope in which Newman stored most of his coins. Veteran collectors and grading services love this “look.” Keith won the coin in Heritage’s November 2013 sale of the legendary Newman collection. Then in an NGC AU 55 CAC holder, the coin sold for $1,116. A distinct double profile adds to the coin’s intrigue. Estimate: $1,000 to $1,300.
