Even, golden-brown toning has protected this coin for decades. Luster runs deep. You may share my notion that this is a mint state coin masquerading as AU. I see no friction on the cheek, just a slight darkening in the natural patina. (The smudge over Liberty's cap is on the PCGS slab.)
