1814 E/A Struck Off Center - O.108a R.1 PCGS XF 40
Struck slightly off-center, allowing a thin arc of the planchet to show from 5:30 to 8:00 on the obverse. Dentils were lost 90° opposite. The coin is charming -- naturally toned and utterly free of distractions. The weakly struck eagle’s head and left wing are virtual hallmarks of the variety and die state. Estimate: $850 to $1,250
