Full luster beneath a gloss of golden toning. The coin may have been stored in a kraft envelope. Unusually well-struck for an 1809. Only the left wing displays a hint of weakness. Note, especially, Liberty’s curls, the eagle’s talons and 13 stars with center-points. Minimal signs of contact. Estimate: $1,600 to $2,000
